​No hardware compatibility between proprietary system vendors. The user is locked into the single source selection and all spare parts must come from the same vendor. For example, the proprietary system never allows the user to select one vendor's controller to drive others vendor's I/O modules. Every component has to come from the proprietary system vendor without alternative.

Flink System provides open system that offer the flexibility to select hardware according to priorities of reliability, features, cost and performance. All components from different vendor are interoperable, mutual replaceable and sharing information throughout all building management components.

Flink System is adaptable to any industry application needs and allows reconfiguration or expansion for future. All the communicating devices (sensor and actuator) are interlinking with a single bus cable by plug-in bus terminal at each device considerably reduce the design and installation time.

The proprietary system solutions are under less competitive pressure than those present in open system industry.
